“Service in the dining areas was poor. I needed to ask for things like water and coffee two or three times before receiving the items. Most of the food was good however I ordered a bread plate - the sliced bread was dried out and the butter was hard as a rock - was very disappointing. ”
“The nicest stay my wife and I encountered during our ten day tour of Scotland. Lochaline is a place of stunning beauty just a short ferry ride from the Isle of Mull. Our hosts were very friendly and accommodating preparing delicious breakfasts and dinners every day. Our room had an incredible view of the inland sea, mountains and 700 year old castle ruins. When upon our departure we discovered a flat tire on our vehicle, our hosts helped us by contacting an area garage and gave us the tools……
“Charming hotel. Beautifully appointed with an attentive and pleasant staff. Great breakfast! Location is perfect - short walk into town but far enough away to be quiet. A real find. Highly recommended.”
“Very attractive room, with fresh milk in the mini fridge which was much appreciated. Lovely biscuits too. Easy walk into the town, after free parking at the property. A good stay. Thank you George. ”
“I am rooting for these guys! It’s a beautiful place and we loved staying in Oban away from the tacky ocean front area spots. We loved the views and the grounds and the library with the assortment of whiskeys. Here is a photo of some highlights! The library and the peacock and the views. Looks like a castle. ”
“Lovely boutique hotel just out of the town with a nice view. A ideal place to be for quiet but within driving distance of Oban. Although our room was lovely and we had a good view of the loch, we could also see the bins right below our room, this could be avoided by just covering the bin area.”
