“The Rustic Rook Resort is a fabulous new addition to the Yurt/Bin wave of alternative to hotel stays. It is just a few miles from the Great Sand Dunes National Park that is simply awe inspiring and has fabulous sledding on the Dunes for the entire family. Excellent dining is about 20 minutes away in downtown Alamosa. The stars at night are incredible. We stayed in a Bin, which was less rustic than the name would imply. It was perfect for my husband and I, and our dog. We wouldn't hesitate……

“Wow! What a unique place!! Nothing I have ever seen, but a great concept. Wish we could have seen a movie but not in season yet:) about 45min from Great Sand Dunes NP. The drive here was amazing too. Out in the middle of nowhere:) I only gave it a 4 for surrounding area since they are in middle of construction but I’m sure it’ll be fine soon. Luke was very helpful:)”

“Great bed, cleanliness and beautiful view”

“I would have given this 5 stars but there was a full-size fridge in our unit & it was so loud! I've stayed in multiple other hotel/motels with loud mini fridges but this one was certainly the loudest. I love having a fridge & microwave & this was a mini kitchen. The bathroom was big. The mattress must have been the typical spring type - bouncy. The view was mostly of other buildings. So close to coffee shops & restaurants. Good for the price.”

“Gorgeous location with incredible views from every window. This home is well stocked and has excellent bedding, beds and pillows. Furniture is nice and comfortable. The hot tub, patio and patio furniture is great too. It is immaculately clean, which we appreciated with 2 -1year olds. We’ve never stayed in a cleaner VRBO, truly spotless!! The one and only thing I would change, adding window blinds. None of the windows have blinds, including the bathrooms. I understand the views shouldn’t be……

“Bed is not balanced but it is cozy annd warm even in winter with the extra heaters, and that is all part of the experience.”
