“Lilly's Cottage is in a great location to explore western Crete both north and south coast. The sea and the mountains are very close by and there are lots of places to explore. Lily was very welcoming and provided us with homemade dishes which was really useful after a long day out exploring. Our 6 year old son really enjoyed spending hours exploring the garden and olive grove. Beware the rip tides on some of the beaches on the north coast. There are no signs so read the guide books. “On the plus side: magnificent pool, the rooms are quiet and equipped with a kitchenette, which is quite useful. The room was clean when we arrived. What badly altered our experience was the way a rare incident was handled by the owner. There was an overflow of wastewater in our room. The man who was supposed to empty the wastewater tank had apparently too much work and hadn't been able to come. The smell was horrendous and the maids quickly came to clean the mess as much as possible until the……

“Welcome drinks and fruits is nice. But it's deceitful to put "jetted tub" on the name of the room and under "facilities" while in fact, you need to pay 50euro per day to use it! This condition is not shown until after you paid! Without the jetted tub, the room is seriously overpriced. If we knew it, we would never booked such an expensive room.”
