“Group of us doing the local Texas River Marathon canoe race. This place is located in the middle of where we wanted to paddle. Four bedrooms with 1 bath took a little shuffling with 7 folks getting ready in the morning. Daughter works with horses at a boarding ranch at home. So she was a happy girl here. Nice and quite with plenty of room.”

“We all had a great time ; especially our granddaughters. James and Marty are excellent hosts. They took the time introduce all the animals to our granddaughters including the goats, chickens, turkey, rabbits and peacocks. The girls got to hold and feed a baby peacock. The accommodations were perfect for us. Thanks for the goat milk for Susan’s coffee. We highly recommend staying at the Byrd’s Nest.”
