“It was truly the most easy going vacation rental I have ever booked. The owner was friendly and funny when appropriate. For those that actually use a kitchen, the kitchen was stocked with even extras for the curious. The property is in a beautiful neighborhood, the floor to ceiling full length of the livingroom and kitchen make the home view spectuctular - all God and Nature!!! It was just one of those truly lovely place that had a peacefulness to it that made it enchanting. Simply……

“I stayed here for two nights during a dental procedure at Nunnally, Freeman and Owens. The house was a 10' drive to the clinic and perfect for quiet recovery. I loved looking out the front doors and seeing the cows.”

“Holy moly- this blew our family’s minds. The property and space were spacious and peaceful. Better than a hotel in so many ways. The winery being next door was a plus! We have family nearby and cannot wait to be back. ”

“It is a three-bedroom house with two full baths, living room, kitchen, dining room, covered porch, two longhorns, two horses, one donkey, chickens, peacocks, peahens, and pea chicks. The animals stayed outside.”

“Even though our trip south didn’t go quite as planned thanks to the awful weather, this property ended up being a bright spot in the storm. The home was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed to make the best of it. But what truly stood out were the hosts—they were incredibly gracious, flexible, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable despite the unexpected changes. Their kindness made all the difference. We’d absolutely stay here again—hopefully with better weather next……

“We stayed at the Bird House for my daughter graduation weekend from Texas State University. Great location - peaceful vibe in the pecan trees, yet just 12 minutes from TXST campus. House is cute and has everything we needed (except dishwasher!!). We enjoyed swinging in the porch hammocks, walking the property, and lounging indoors. Definitely a great getaway! ”
