“Had a last minute opportunity to visit my daughter and looked at VRBO since I've always had great luck with them. Got to the property and found out that my room was 1/4 price per night. I paid VRBO more than 4 times what the hotel price was per night. Property was just barely OK. Pool was closed. Breakfast made my daughter violently ill which put a damper on the weekend. Feel stupid and taken advantage of...and yes, I am part of that responsibility so that is why I am writing this review...buyer……

“A small but well equipped cabin at the end of a private road. A deck with table and chairs expands the living space. Very quiet location behind the owners house. There is a fenced in yard at this cabin perfect for a dog to explore. There is a barn and fenced area for the two horses. A large section of the pasture has reverted to natural plantings which attract a variety of birds. The road to the cabin runs along the pasture providing viewing and photographing opportunities. The host lives on……

“Our week in Highlands was so enjoyable and Foxglove Flat, although rustic on the outside, is a beautiful space to call home. It was absolutely spotless, comfortable and easy access for my husband with his mobility issues. The kitchen is well equipped with anything you need to cook. Multiple coffee making options was nice. I was impressed with the quick response I had regarding the shower (operator error on my part) and the notification that bad weather was on its way. We would not hesitate to……

“So, I booked our room back in September, October of 2021. Between then and when our trip was, the property changed owners. Apparently, there was a bit of a mixup with the booking and the whole lodge was booked for a reunion. We get there to check in, and not only do they still accommodate us, despite the mixup, they gave us an upgrade for no extra charge. We were staying for our anniversary and were absolutely thrilled with everything. We will definitely visit again in the future.”
