“Overall we enjoyed our stay. Although check-in didn't go as smoothly as hoped, as the room (Executive Double room, 1 King Bed and separate living room) we had booked was occupied and not available. Instead, we were put into a one room with queen bed with loveseat, and received a couple of complimentary cocktails for the inconvenience. “We had a great stay at Ladera hotel. All the staff were very warm and friendly and they arranged a welcome dish for my birthday which was much appreciated. The pillows were really quite firm and high for our liking but that's a personal preference. Breakfast was simple but good and the housekeeping staff were very thorough (even replacing soap bars when plenty of use still lift which we think is unnecessary). Location was great, with a short walk to the subway and some really nice restaurants.……
