“Room was clean but super small. Very noisy when they have guests for party or family events. Not worth the money.”

“We stayed here as a base for a family wedding, using 5 rooms. Everyone said how good the pub was and the rooms were lovely and quiet. My husband and I had a meal on the night of arrival which was excellent. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. It was nice to have plenty of tea bags and milk cartons in the room instead of the usual 2. Very comfortable bed. Can’t fault it at all. Would definitely recommend over the nearby garner hotel as we dropped someone off there and it stank.……

“I booked Abode Manchester more than a month in advance, and one of the main reasons I chose this hotel was because it was clearly stated that the rooms had air conditioning. However, when I arrived, I was told that the air conditioning was broken in all rooms throughout the hotel. At first, I thought I could manage by opening a window to get some ventilation — but to my surprise, the windows could not be opened at all. I called the front desk for help, and the manager eventually confirmed that……

“My meal on Sunday evening was the best I’ve ever had, and the service by Rula wonderful and friendly.. room was delightful and breakfast delicious hot and perfectly served. Excellent choice the only problem was when paying generally with Hotels.com I pay before I leave home and can use my Keycash points but as Mellor took funds on leaving the deputy manager didn’t know how to use my credit which would have covered my meal. She tried to phone but apparently couldn’t get through. I will be taking……

“This was a really nice hotel! The staff were friendly, and the room was very clean. The highlight for us was the gym. It was much better equipped than most hotel gyms. It had weights (dumbbells and barbells), machines, treadmills, rowing machines, and even a sled. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again!”

“Lovely restored building, very quirky. Lacks storage space but if you’re only there for 1 or 2 nights this is unlikely to be an issue. Extremely comfortable beds. We experienced some outside noise very early in the morning (shouting & smashing bottles) but this wouldn’t deter me from booking again, we really enjoyed our stay.”
