“This place is an oasis that provided an amazing escape for my group of friends from portland. Feels like you’re in another world. Only complaint is a few quirky lack of ammentites: bring your own ice… and no disposal in the sink. Small gripes in the scheme of things. The reviews about the well stocked kitchen (for appliances) wer 100% true. Beds were comfy and lots of towels”

“Just what we wanted: a spacious amount of room for 4 people, an unusual location while still convenient to Portland, and a responsive host. It's more "house" than "boat," but it's located on a pretty little stretch of water with a small current. We loved watching the geese family, heron and beaver across the way. We weren't expecting train tracks to be so close, or the trains so plentiful, but it soon added to the charm of the place. Access is easy, with one reserved parking spot. Others living……

“We were exploring the area for ten days. We made it to Merlwn,Yale and Swift reservoirs, Astoria, Seaside and Mt Hood, Bonneville dam and fish hatchery plus three trips to Columbia Outlet in Selwood and a bunch of other shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and the BBQ. The beef, sweet corn and fresh fish are far superior to what is available here in Costa Rica. My girls were impressed an didn't want to come home. We had one fire in the fire pit. My wife idoes not grasp the campfire……

“We stayed here as our “home base” for a whirlwind visit to friends and family in Portland and Washington. We weren’t there much, which we regret because there are so many things to do (bunnies! Games! Hot tubs!) on the property. Jimmy and Jimmiesue live on the property, which is nice if you have questions/needs. If you’re bringing pets or planning on having a get together, make sure you reach out to them before booking to get the details of their policies since some could feel the policies are……

“We had a wonderful few days in Kelso at our VRBO. Lots of room. We had a couple of rainy days so it was nice to have a nice place to hang out. Lots of coffee and snacks were provided and the host was very attentive to any needs we might have. Would definitely come back here again. ”
