“We arrived at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon, the team were busy and to be expected. We were then attended to within a few minutes. Polite and friendly and shown to our room. It was a building near the pub. Parking was free and able to park outside the pub. Its all situated in a square,like a market square surrounded by big granite hills. We were shown to our room, was given a birthday card from the hotel chap which was a nice touch. The room was surfice and had ensuite. Outside window had all……

“I had a great stay at Y Pengwern Hotel. The room was super cozy, spotless, and had everything I needed to feel right at home - perfect for winding down after a day out. I really appreciated the extra heaters they provided—perfect if you like the room toasty and warm. The view from the window was absolutely stunning. “Room especially the toilet was huge and comfortable. They also gave very large towels which was great. Only gitch as the housekeepinb fell short on the last day - the bins werent emptied and the floor towel was not replaced.”

“Stayed in the Hall itself with a Mountain View room with a super comfy four poster bed. Great quiet location and lovely accommodation. Polite welcoming staff served us throughout our stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel. ”

“The hosts were anonymous and the tv unusable. The booklet re tv was totally incomprehensible. Clear instructions on how to use the two controllers and tune the tv would have been helpful. The room was fine and the help yourself breakfast exceeded my expectations. ”

“Richard is very much the 'Host with the Most'. Very chatty and friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. He went above and beyond for us...Carrying our cases up to the top floor...And down again when we left. Plus he does a cracking packed lunch. Our room was more than adequate, comfy and clean. The only gripe from our point of view is that we'd prefer proper cups and spoons...”

“I was a little nervous, I’ll admit, due to other more negative reviews, but there really was nothing to be worried about. The room was great, it wasn’t noticeably unclean or anything like that. Bed was comfortable, area was quiet, and I have no complaints. The staff were welcoming and polite, and the food was really good also. The surrounding village is beautiful, and the Rhydd Ddu path up Mount Snowdon is one bus stop away (or 8KM walk), which is a bonus. ”
