“We had a fantastic stay at The Kendrick. We arrived late owing to train delays, and Nathan very kindly agreed to wait for us. Breakfast was cooked to order, fresh and very tasty. The room was clean, comfortable and cool despite the hot weather. Complimentary bottled water, still or sparkling, was available at all times and really appreciated. “WHAT A FIND!!!! A real gem After being let down with our original booking, we found the Black Lion Hotel. It's set in a small, quiet village near the river. We had a superb evening meal, the pub was busy in both the bar and restaurant area all evening, which is always a good sign.... the food was superb, service was excellent The room we stayed in was quiet, clean, the bathroom was a good size, the bed was comfy. The breakfast in the morning was superb quality made from local produce. ……
