“Such an amazing time at the last house. Everything was what I expected and beyond. The Geoffrey Bawa’s design is timeless and adorable. Each one of stuff members is super nice. One down side is not so convenient to explore by walk. I believe that made the last house so special though. Highly recommended. ”

You certainly got a sense of the rainforest by the time you got there. Our container was comfortable and the bar and dinning rooms spacious. As vegetarians we were a little bored with curry and rice yet again but it was nice not to have to face another buffet dinner as dinner was served to you. “We stayed for three nights with our 1 year old baby. The staff are excellent, so welcoming, and attentive and really enjoyed playing with our son. We had a sea view room, the view is beautiful, and the bathroom and shower were excellent - you can see the sea from the shower! The staff provided a lovely wooden cot which was perfect for our son. The cot fit next to the bed and the bed’s mosquito net covered the cot. Breakfast was lovely, and the staff were very accommodating of our child’s needs.……

“Very nice and very quiet chalet on a deserted beach. The location is literally on the beach. Ideal if you want tranquility. Just the sound of the waves! Our host was excellent and helped us with information we needed. There is a good restaurant next door and the Waves will provide good dinners at reasonable cost if you give them warning (as everything is freshly cooked). ”

“Absolutely stunning boutique hotel, we stayed in hibiscus room and the sunrise room both were exceptional. The staff the location and the pool were perfect and the breakfast was very good. They lay on a free Tuk Tuk to get you to from hotel to beach takes less than 5 mins but is easily walkable. We visited slightly out of season so Mirissa was quiet and not every restaurant and bar was open but D Canal was still fully booked so advice is book early as this hotel is a real gem in every way. “Great property right on the beach , in comparison the prices in the hotel / restaurant are higher ( which is to be expected) . Staff was lovely , the hotel could do with some small updates / upgrades. Location is very good, under 10 mins to walk into town. “Nice view thru window. Close to the beach, good for sunset view. Anyone can go without a charge. Clean room and supplied cookers as home stay. Dining market at beach 2km away. Bike rental friendly, five minutes walking to the rental and take me back to hotel after returning. Half hour driving to dock for wacthing whales”

“Such a lovely hotel located right on the beach, I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to be slightly outside of Hiriketiya. Due to its location it is very quiet and peaceful. There are sun loungers on the beach as well as by the pool. It is super easy to get into the main town by tuktuk or a 30 minute walk. The staff are lovely and so attentive if you need a bite to eat I would recommend their pizza which are delicious. We loved our stay here and would 100% come back! ”
