“First time doing a bed and breakfast and Elsa’s Place did one hell of a job setting the bar high for any future B&B stay. The room was clean and spacious, the staff were amazing and the breakfast was solid. I could live off the berry parfaits they made for breakfast. I was a bit apprehensive about booking here since it was not in New Orleans proper but after the first night there I was positive the correct choice was made. “I stayed at Travelers New Orleans between March 2-March 5, 2005 during Mardi Gras. It reminded of a hostel with a private room with a full bathroom. It has a common kitchen, a common area and code entry to the building and the room. “This was one of the best stays ever. I had no idea when I booked that it was a Bed and Breakfast!! It’s decorated to antique and stylish! The Street car running directly in front is and added bonus! “We did our annual friend reunion here a couple of weeks ago, and there are not enough compliments I can give this place! The owners were extremely easy to communicate with and we had zero issues for the entirety of our stay. They gave us a ton of recommendations and unfortunately we weren’t able to take advantage of them all! Property is in an excellent location - far enough from the noise but very quick and easy to get to the French Quarter. Rooms were very comfortable and slept the 12 of us……

“The property certainly is presented a little better on the photos than in person. Don’t get me wrong, the lobby is beautiful, but the rooms lack the same artistic appeal. The pool area was really dirty. The floors needed to be pressure washed, the lounge beds were moldy. It looks like the place started off with great intention but there’s a lazy feel about how they are keeping up with everything. Parking is ridiculous at times if you don’t know the area well.
