“We had a really exceptional stay. The building has lots of character and charm. It’s recently renovated and the decor is great. “I cannot praise the owners highly enough. Rather than call us a taxi in order to travel to a restaurant which was over 5 miles away, the owner gave us a lift in his own car. “Beautifully presented throughout, with real care and attention made to the decor and overall feel of the accommodation. Sarah, the proprietor was a wonderful host, offering advice on the local area, even suggesting a local pub for our evening meal, which was also wonderful. The breakfast was also excellent, and once again the service was just perfect. All in all highly recommended if you’re thinking of visiting Wookey Hole, Cheddar Gorge or the beautiful city of Wells.”

“We had to give up with the shower. We had been working in Bath and we were both in need of a shower. The water wouldn't heat up. My daughter returned to the bar where we had checked in and a young lady behind the bar said that she would try to reboot it. 10 minutes later still only luke warm. Same 20 minutes after that and we were so tired by then that we had a wash and went to bed. ”

“This is an old-fashioned tavern with an inn. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, as were the local patrons. The included breakfast consisted of fresh fruits, cured meats, cheeses, yogurt, cereal, toast, juice, milk, etc. We ate dinner at their restaurant the night we arrived and it was tasty traditional English food. I had a very nice fish and chips while my wife had a delicious meat pie. The beds were a bit soft for my liking, but I slept comfortably. I could do without the green……

“Amazing Place, so good we went back two weeks later! Staff were amazing, they even made cocktails that werent on the menu.”

“Arrived in the Bar for a quick check in and a guided tour of how things worked in the room. The room was modern and clean. Large shower which worked correctly. kitchen next door with a big fridge and a carton of fresh proper milk. A kettle was provided in the room. So you only needed to collect your milk when making a brew. Nice outside area for enjoying the evening sun. Large decent private carpark with easy access. Meals in the restaurant area were excellent, and reasonably priced. I believe……
