“Great location. Right on the promenade and close to the electric tram station. Walk to the other end of the promenade bracing but level. Loved the island. You can see lots by public transport. Get a GO card. Such good value. Beds soft and been well slept in. Breakfast bit disappointing- very traditional. We had a bar meal the night we arrived. Again disappointed. Steak sandwich on plain white bread - ??? We found lots of other fantastic places to eat. ”

“We had a wonderful stay in the Halvard hotel. The staff were welcoming, and accommodating for our requests. Our room was clean, spacious and had a lovely view of the sea and the promenade. The breakfast was excellent, with good options for hot breakfast that's freshly prepared and a small buffet. The location of the hotel is great, being less than 10 min walk from the ferry passenger terminal, on the sea front and downtown area, and in walking distance to the bus station. “The Sefton is a grand building toward the town centre end of the promenade and about 10 minutes walk from the Sea Terminal and buses to and from the airport stop close by, so very convenient. Check in was smooth. I booked an atrium room which was quiet, modern but not bland. Good bathroom, living area with a balcony. “Fantastic location, the place itself was incredible. The kitchen/living room was huge, very spacious, big windows so lots of light and very well equipped. Private and out of the way. Bedrooms and bathrooms were an excellent size, well equipped, and very clean. Beds very very comfortable. “The room is clean and tidy. The breakfast is good with different options. The hotel is a little bit far from the ferry pier, it takes about 25 mins to walk there. If you have luggage, you'd better call a taxi, the taxi fare is reasonable anyway. ”
