“Food is excellent and beds are very comfy. It's old-fashioned in that it's a conversion of an older building, so windows are single-glazed and the doors open with actual keys. But the rooms have everything you'd expect from a professionally run establishment. Staff are all friendly and professional though you sometimes have to seek them out – hardly surprising as there are only six rooms so they can't have someone permanently on duty.”

“We wanted to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and would normally have gone somewhere hot for this milestone but with Covid we are still not prepared to fly anywhere, so were looking for something different to just a ‘hotel room’, I saw this advertised on Expedia, and it looked to be just what we were looking for, a bit of luxury in a tranquil setting, just the down time we needed after a busy year.
