“House review The house was very clean, the best we ever rented in the last 20 years. However the house had problems. Of the five living room windows facing west to the lake, only one opened, and it was only about 10 inches. The living room A/C didn’t work well and the room was extremely hot with the sun shining directly in. The dark curtains which had to be closed to block the sun, made the room very depressing and unusable. They need to install awnings or add a porch with a roof on the……

“We chose to stay here for my birthday and to visit Acadia National Park. The cottage's cozy and beautiful (a truly architectural jewel). We wanted to find a peaceful and traditional way to relax and we found it here. The surroundings are stunning (truly loved/ enjoyed the sunrise with the lake's view, great get away from the city and to be able to see the stars at night). The owner is welcoming and attentive. Glad for the vacation time spent here. Truly grateful for this experience! Thank you. ”

“Stayed for three nights at this wonderful property. Kids loved everything about it and our stay was just enough. We picked up supplies before getting to the house, so the only thing we went out for was bait at the local general store. Though the water was too cold for swimming, the beach was great for the use of the stand up paddle board, canoe, and kayaks. We fished all day and made use of the very generous welcome gift to make smores at night. The lake was so peaceful, there was some limited……

“We used the cabin as a home base to explore Acadia while having a fun and beautiful place to come back and see the sunsets and sunrises on the water. The little heater was enough to keep us warm during the chilly fall week we were there. Was a great spot for the two of us!”

“We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Check in was easy and the host gave great directions to the cottage which was helpful as cell service in this area is poor. The cottage was accurately described and is very well stocked with almost everything you can think of besides the actual food for your trip. Felt very much like we were staying at a family cottage. The view from the dock was amazing!”
