“Nice little pud with very nice staff, rooms could do with a bit of updating but it’s priced for what it is and the breakfast was excellent, staff all very helpful. ”

“Very nice comfortable room (room 57), very spacious, comfortable bed, and nicely designed bathroom. Parking was easy and convenient. Breakfast was lovely and the service was excellent. My only slight criticism was the bright green light on all night in the room which was distracting.”

“Great location and room was excellent and very comfortable BUT no staff on site until 8.30am so struggled to get early check out Breakfast doesn’t start until 8.30 This was probably shown somewhere but I wasn’t aware ”

“It was a very nice place to stay at a reasonable cost. Ideal location near to Cooling Castle were able to walk back after the wedding well with a torch. Staff were all friendly. Would recommend.”

“Arrival was confusing as trying to book in with the console was not easy, luckily there were staff available to do this. There is a ridiculous £2.50 parking charge given the place is in the midfle of nowhere, we were told it stops non residents parking there, given that i wasn't asked for my car registration I fail to see how that works. We were woken at 7.45 on the Sunday morning by an annoying throbbing news, when i spoke to someone in the reception area he told me he couldn't hear it and he……

“Lovely apartment in great location next to city centre. The owner had an issue with previous guests who trashed the apartment, however when we arrived the apartment was clean and in great condition. Only issue was a slight dampness to couch due to him having to clean because of previous users. This would not put me off using this apartment again, thank you for the use of your apartment”

“Massive pigeon infestation, cant leave the window open because they will fly in. The hot water finished after 10 minutes in the morning, so no shower in the morning, only one person. You need to climb 50 stairs to reach the apartment, the elevator is broken. Only a 1/2 roll used toliet paper, no rug to step out of the shower, used a towel instead. ”

“Very friendly place, very busy in bar area but accommodation separate (& quiet 😊👍)… enjoyed looking round the bar area after breakfast next day, lots of interesting items/photos etc and nice to be away from the ‘corporate’ feel that most hotels seem to have these days. I’m sure we’ll be back.”
