“I had a really great stay at the Bull Inn which is located in a lovely quiet village surrounded by the countryside. My room was very clean, and the bed was so comfortable, and because it’s so peaceful, I had a fabulous nights sleep. Beats noisy large chain hotels any day!!! Lots of tea / coffee with biscuits provided which was nice as I’ve been to many hotels recently where you get minimal items. Lots of free parking and directly outside your own room which was brilliant for carrying suitcases……

“We had a nice stay but sadly my partner and I were awoken at 7am by someone using a loud garden strimmer. Called the front desk to see if trimming the grass could be delayed and was told the person doing it would be moved to a different area to give us some peace and quiet, but the person kept strimming near us anyway. Bit of a shame as we'd had a late night and were looking forward to a lie in. The room was very nice though. Whilst dinner was nothing to write home about, the breakfast was……

“Nice location and rooms, staff were great”

“My room was on the top floor with a private use bathroom across the corridor frommy room. It was a small shower room with toilet. The shower was OK, but not very powerful. I liked the amenities provided. Shower gel etc and a razor pack in the bathroom, coffee and hot chocolate in the bedroom. Wifi was excellent. If I have to put some small gripes, it would be there was nowhere to sit and work. So not ideal for a business stay. It was on the top floor which is quite a hike and there is no lift,……

“A beautiful, peaceful stay! So much space and goregous natural light streaming through sash windiws in the morning. The rooms are in an historic, listed building, so there are quirks and without the radiators it can be chilly, so if staying in the winter months consider bringing a cosy dressing gown to wrap up in, especially after a relaxing soak in the huge bathtub. The coffee machine and chocolates were a wonderful treat. As was waking up right in the city centre. ”

“Fabulous place , Jeff the host was so accommodating. A real hidden gem in the heart of the city. We stayed in the Linen suite and it felt like our own little 5* apartment. You also get 20% off all food and drink at the adjoining bar which was a bonus. ”

“Very nice food clean comfortable beds, but the floors and tables could have been cleaner hence 3 stars. Very quiet and warm we did enjoy our stay.”

“Had a great stay. We were there for the reggae fest at another venue that finished at 8pm & by pure change the hunting lodge had a SKA night on. So was great carrying on. Enjoyed it so much. Had a great sleep with comfy bed & fab cooked breakfast £10 each extra but well worth it. The staff were friendly & helpful. Will definitely stay again. ”
