“We had a nice visit to this beautiful, waterfront home, and appreciated the host very much. The views from the beach were lovely. Unfortunately, we were woken several times overnight one night by ships’ foghorns as they passed by- every few hours. Even the white noise machines (a thoughtful touch) didn’t help. Not sure how to predict when the ships come through, but we slept soundly the second of our two nights there. The area is otherwise very quiet- we barely saw anyone else around. The……

“Stayed here with my 84 year old father and 4 teenagers. Dad enjoyed his space on the entry level, which also had it own half bath and thermostat. The rest of us had plenty of room upstairs. The location was great. We were able to get to our family in Wilmington in 20 minutes. The river park was merely a 5 minute walk away and the teenagers enjoyed it very much.....I felt it was safe enough for them to walk by themselves. “Foxtail house is a comfortable, spacious and peaceful retreat. Located on a stunning section of tidal river you will find yourself mesmerized by the wildlife, bird song and the play of light on the marsh grasses. We were a group of 6 family members attending a days long memorial gathering and we were very thankful to be able to return to such a lovely home at the end of the day. Clean, fully stocked kitchen, great bathrooms, several indoor and outdoor gathering spots as well as bedrooms well……

Our first stay was booked with almost no notice and went great, and this time we booked a few weeks in advance and the house was really well prepared and ready for us with noticeable improvements. Our first stay occurred in July, and the air conditioning got a workout and was quite effective. This time, we stayed in late December, and we got to use the heat, which also worked fine and was under our control for our floor. Parking is on the house's……

“Lots of room for 5 adults, manageable with 2 full baths and one powder room. Space for everyone to stretch out between our family wedding activities. Some cosmetic blemishes on the inside, but nothing to detract from the sense of a nice property on a very quiet street. Unfortunately, due to our schedules, we were unable to take advantage of the deck, but it looked nice. The location worked out well for our needs.”
