The neighbors were very quiet too. The lake itself was so peaceful. We were able to kayak all around the lake without worrying about boat traffic. Plenty of wildlife all around. “Can’t call it a river cabin, because it’s far too nice for that! This is a beautiful, spacious totally finished house on the Tobacco River between Clare and Farwell, MI. Every need for their guests is anticipated and taken care of. Beautiful kitchen, island bar, comfy couches in the great room. Outdoor deck and table overlooking the fast moving (shallow) river. Spacious yard. Close to town but far enough away to be peaceful. Some visitors have commented on this being on a busy 2 lane highway,……

We had plans to go on some day trips but cancelled all of them because of how much we enjoyed the stay.The rooms were clean and main living area was perfect for our kids to run around and relax.We LOVED being able to walk down to the beach and play multiple times a day. “This house was great for our girls weekend! A lot of bunk beds, but we did our best to make it work. Some of our group are older women and it was not safe for them to adventure to a top metal bunk bed, but we were aware of that when we booked. Not a negative, just something to consider. The lake is very "mushy" and not really swim worthy, but a nice view! The indoor pool is AMAZING! The host is wonderful, very responsive and understanding. “Really didn’t get to take in the full effect of Silver Lake, as this was just used as a mid way destination to the UP. However the cottage was very nice and cozy! Hot tub was nice and warm. Would visit again!”
