“The historical house really made it a special stay. The staff both at the hotel and the bar/grill were friendly, and shared great stories of the home. Durham is a fantastic town with great history that the Durham Historical Association, which is just down from the hotel proudly displays. I will definitely return.”

“House is very charming, and well stocked. The outside kitchen (although we didn’t use) is a great idea along with a nice deck over looking the water. Although this is a 2 family house, we never heard or saw the neighbors. A road away is very loud, but you absolutely do not hear in the upstairs bedroom. Clean, convenient to several towns, and good price for everything they have. ”

“The house was nice and spacious, dog friendly. The front bedroom looks out to the water. The bathrooms are renovated with heated floors - so nice especially during the coldest week of the season! The location is perfect for walking in warmer weather. Steve and Kristen were great hosts - responsive and helpful. We hope to visit again soon! ”

“This lovely old home has the most modern interior that is a comfortable distance to Portsmouth without being in the city. Attention to detail was evident in the cleanliness as well as the fully stocked beverages that can be added to your bill. I was able to reach Doug immediately concerning check-in as I was having trouble getting my home internet and he was so helpful. Should we come back again we will definitely stay here as they even allowed our 58 pound dog Emma to be with us. Emma loved……
