“Perfect location! Far enough away from the busy hustle and bustle, but close enough (10 min) to take multiple trips into Gettysburg throughout each day. Love being able to drive past so much history on our way in! Owners were wonderful about allowing us to have our pets! Only surprise was no access to washer and dryer and no grill. I should have paid attention to the listing better! Didn't put a dent in our trip though! Home was extremely clean and very welcoming! We loved sitting on the porch……

“Loved the view off of the deck...just beautiful! Our girls enjoyed canoeing, swimming, and fishing (sunfish, bass & perch). The owner was very accommodating and quick to respond to our needs and questions. Location is close to Gettysburg (10-15 min) and there's a nearby grocery store for shopping. Excellent place to get away on a family vacation, especially if you love the beauty of the outdoors! ”

“Great location! My mom and I absolutely loved the General’s Hideaway for our trip to Gettysburg. We even loved the pool table and played a few games. We brought my Mom’s service dog with us and the hosts made sure to include a bed and supplies for him if needed, which was very sweet of them. We brought food to cook during our stay and finding everything in the kitchen was a breeze! We loved the layout. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. “Love this place! Clean, off the road a little, quiet area. She definitely made a smaller house feel like there’s a bit of room! Comfy king bed in one room (the other room had a queen bed which my son slept on). Nice size comfortable couch for the living room. ”

“This property is the nicest one I've ever stayed at! It's a beautiful home with a spectacular view! It was sparkling clean, comfortable, peaceful, close to Gettysburg. We originally booked it for two nights and were able to add another day to relax after 2 1/2 weeks on an intensive driving tour with our grandson! It was lovely to sit on the porch and watch the rain come over the mountains or to sip coffee first thing in the morning! We even saw deer!Communication was great! We never heard……
