The kitchen had all the modern conveniences. Each room had its own air conditioner so we could all have our desired temperatures at night. Check- in was effortless. “My husband and I enjoyed our five day stay at the Canal House. We were surrounded by early American décor and felt like we stepped back in time with modern conveniences added. We were cool and comfortable in the midst of a heat wave, the mattress in the master bedroom was extremely comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked.The rocking chairs on the porch were great for morning coffee and conversations. The nearness of the C&O Canal Towpath at Taylor’s Landing provided wonderful opportunities……

“Absolutely stunning place! Super clean upon arrival and decorated perfectly for Gettysburg! After long hours of walking in the heat of the summer, it was perfect to come home to a cold house! I was initially worried about the house size and whether or not the AC was going to cool the house effectively with only window units but it was not an issue at all!
