“The location was pretty nice, being central to the Bury St. Edmunds town center. The location of the room was very difficult to find because the navigation apps we used put us far away from the actual room. We luckily found a mailman who took us to the right location. Other than that, the room was alright and comfortable enough. I’m not too sure it was entirely worth the cost, but it was alright. I’ll say 7/10.”

“Beautifully decorated and appointed. Large TV in room. Comfortable bed. Only negative is that the room was hot so had to open window and nearby road is noisy. Also walls thin so could hear people in next room using bathroom, coughing etc. Which disturbed my sleep. ”

“I have stayed in the hotel for several time and always enjoy it. A great hotel if you want to visit the city. I never try to dinner but the breakfast is superb. Also a nice bar which provides great selection of drinks”

“A great stay at the Woodpaddock in May 2025 for a weekend visiting family. Denise was super helpful throughout my stay, even before I had arrived! On arrival, there was a warm welcome, fresh milk and tea & coffee. Greatly welcomed after a long journey. I stayed in room 4, a self contained double room which was perfectly fine for my needs. “Hotel is in a lovely area, especially if you like horse racing. Don’t arrive early though as it is £30 for early check in, even if the room is available, you are not permitted to use the pool until checked in so the only option is to come back later or go to the hotel bar and wait, or pay £30. The rooms are nice, a bit dated, but bathrooms appear to have been recently renovated. Rooms have aircon which is good, and the beds are comfy. We don’t visit the spa, just the health club, the pool is……

“Everything was perfect.. I can’t think of anyway this could be improved. Great location, apartments were immaculate and really lovely decorated. Everything really well thought of. Can’t wait to return sometime soon. The most important things were that it was great for our children and our dog!! We spent our first evening at a local pub then walked home with a takeaway, next day at the market and shopped around the village. Cooked some amazing steaks from the butchers. Then the following two days……
