“Maria, who is front of house, was so welcoming and later, in the dining room she tirelessly looked after us and all the other guests. The food was fantastic and I understand her husband is head chef, Joseph Colman. The rooms were attractive and very comfortable with lovely bathrooms. I would certainly recommend this as a wonderful getaway. ”

“Treherne House is an absolute delight. Safe and ample parking and a warm welcome by the lovely Alex including a perfectly brewed caffetiere of coffee to settle us in. The room (Elgar) was exquisite, high quality bedding and the softest pillows plus a huge free standing tub in the spacious ensuite. Breakfast was delicious with locally produced meat and healthy organic options. We sat and watch the wildlife in the beautiful garden over breakfast. “This property is well located in the centre of town with easy walking distance to the river, cafes and town sites. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast and dinner are very good. The only downside is that rooms are accessed by very steep circular stairs and the car park is accessed by a very tight driveway and limited parking spaces. There is a public car park behind that is easier to access, but Pay and Display during the day. We very much enjoyed our stay in this heritage pub……

“A really friendly pub - the staff and owners were genuinely the friendliest I’ve ever found at a hotel. We had a lovely double room, which was really quiet and had loads of space. Breakfast was delicious - we had English breakfast, which is all sourced locally and cooked to order (definitely worth it). We also had dinner in the pub on evening - again, all locally sourced and better than many restaurants. The inn is very well located between Ross on Wye and Hereford, with lots of walks, gardens……
