The host was attentive to our needs and request all the time. She really deserves 5 stars ✨. The Valley lodge really lives up to its name.”

“A whole house with all the trimmings, amenities and warm South African welcome of the owner. The fridge contained complimentary butter, home made jam, bottle of wine and farm fresh milk. There were home made rusks and scrunchies. There was complimentary spices to use as well as olive oil etc etc. We were given two dishwashing pods and laundry detergent to use. I've never stayed in a place that is so well equipped. The owners friendliness further enhanced our stay. ”

“We stayed in one of the Forest cottage. We loved the grounds of the hotel and the gardens were so beautiful. We booked late and the only room available was one of the cottages. We found the decor to be very dated including the bathroom and it had no air con. The bathroom taps were very stiff. The pool area for these cottages felt like it needed updating/cleaned and the lounger covers on the chairs were in need of a clean and quite dirty. Overall we were quite disappointed with the accommodation.……

“We were visiting Paarl as we have family here. We are from Florida, US. The house at Boschenmeer was perfect for us. The family came over for several dinners and they really enjoyed the outdoor area. South African hubby was a bit challenged with the wood braai after using gas grill in US for years, but he had a great time cooking steaks, snoek, trout and more for them. We made great use of the kitchen to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving dinner for the family - all seven of us! We felt very……
