Here are some thoughta for anyone considering it as well The location is excellent, on a quiet side street only a minute from the waterfront road where we were able to leave our car. It was also close to shops and about a 15 min walk to the old town where most of the restaurants are. We tried Sfizi & Delizie and loved the food and the entertaining owner. “I had a wonderful stay in Casa Gioconda. It is beautifully decorated and the location is perfect for exploring Gaeta. My days started with terrific options for breakfast and lovely conversations with Letizia and Amanda. Letizia and Amanda are both so kind and helpful with recommendations and getting my ridiculously heavy luggage up the stairs. “We only had a couple of nights stay however we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was a problem. Staff were really polite and accommodating. Everything was clean and tidy. Bed was very comfortable and oceon view room had a beautiful view along the coast. Breakfast was lovely and plenty of choice. A good carpark to leave your car in hotel grounds. Would definitely go again.”

“The service at this hotel needs special mention. Nthing was too much trouble and staff went well above and beyond what was expected. Arriving late we were welcomed by the restaurant manager (the only person still working) were shown to our room and offered a late meal (very welcome) asking at reception the next day for recommendations as to where to visit, within 5 minutes a knock on the door and a sheaf of suggestions in english. The restaurant is superb and the food excellent. A thunderstorm……
