“We needed a place to stay for a PSU event that was convenient to campus and affordable. Also, I was glad to NOT be in State College on a playoff weekend. This place was perfect for us: Absolutely immaculate, cozy warm, incredible host, and had everything we needed for a restful weekend. This would have been a great place to come to when our kids were younger, to let them toddle about outdoors, with plenty of room to spread out indoors. This was a perfectly homely house, to borrow a phrase……

“Quiet location in a quaint little town. Enough parking for 4 vehicles and fifth extra spot. The patio is great! Beds were comfy! Plenty of hot water all around. Would visit again!”

“House was cozy and comfortable. Off-street parking and close to many sites: Penn State, Everett RR, and Horseshoe Curve. Also close to numerous local restaurants: John&George’s, Al’s Tavern and Stone Cellar. Would recommend all three. Overall, nice house and location. Would stay there again.”

“House was large and quite adequate for our 21 people. Nice weather allowed for several hikes even over New Years. Great views and sunrises. Sunroom off kitchen was popular early morning spot. Large first floor area allowing game area, food prep area football watching”

“We had a phenomenal time at Alan’s mountain home. We skied 2 days, we easily walked to the lift and came home for lunch and went back out. It is so nice to not have to get in your car with the gear. The house is huge and had everything we needed. We had 3 families with young children and we all slept well, felt safe and made amazing family memories. The hot tub was such an amazing experience after a long day of skiing. The kids loved the warm hottub while the snow fell on their heads. We highly……

“This was our second stay at this location and, if possible, it was even better than our first. There are no words to describe the view in the fall and there was abundance of parking and lawn space. The view from the fire pit beats any television show - we literally just enjoyed ourselves outside for hours. Inside, the place is immaculate and comfortable, with plenty of blankets and linens.”

“The Yellow House is adorable, perfectly appointed, and clean and tidy. We loved it! From the fresh milk and cookies waiting for us on arrival to the easy and friendly communication with Rachel, the owner and manager, we wouldn’t have changed a thing. The beds are comfy, and little details are great- like bedside lights that turn on with just a tap and power outlets right in the night tables. At the end of a long day, we all appreciated the couch and loveseat where all of the seats reclined! ”
