“Our room had been recently remodeled and was in great shape. The room was very clean and quiet. It's not a fancy place but a nice and comfortable place to lodge. It's only a short drive (7 minutes) to downtown Gaylord but still off the beaten track. We enjoyed our time at Dixon Resort and would recommend it. ”

Reached out to hotels.com regarding a refund for the two unused rooms and was told it would have to be through the property, was placed on hold while they called the property and was told they'd just spoken to them and the manager would……

“I’ve stayed here before and it was lovely; however this time was very different. There is no one who checks you in or can troubleshoot in case you need anything. You call a number (True North)and the young lady says she will get housekeeping. Really? There is NO one there, not even an office anymore. The place is misnamed. It is an older 60’s motel, not a ‘retreat’. The floors were ‘sandy’ and needed vacuuming. The carpet was damp all over. The tv clicker needed batteries. The bed sheets……
