“Our room had been recently remodeled and was in great shape. The room was very clean and quiet. It's not a fancy place but a nice and comfortable place to lodge. It's only a short drive (7 minutes) to downtown Gaylord but still off the beaten track. We enjoyed our time at Dixon Resort and would recommend it. ”

“I’ve stayed here before and it was lovely; however this time was very different. There is no one who checks you in or can troubleshoot in case you need anything. You call a number (True North)and the young lady says she will get housekeeping. Really? There is NO one there, not even an office anymore. The place is misnamed. It is an older 60’s motel, not a ‘retreat’. The floors were ‘sandy’ and needed vacuuming. The carpet was damp all over. The tv clicker needed batteries. The bed sheets……

“When arriving, it was clear that cleanliness and maintenance were not a priority here. There was broken glass on the bedroom floor, which was hazardous and unacceptable. In addition, the lights did not turn on, making the glass only visible during the daytime. The sheets had many hairs on them, making it obvious that they hadn't been properly cleaned or changed between guests.
