“The staff was so very kind from the moment we checked in til the very end. They were helpful in giving suggestions, directions and just overall kindness. The restaurant was delicious as well (the sticky toffee pudding is a must try!) The bar downstairs is great as well. I would suggest getting the breakfast included in your stay as it is convenient since there aren’t many cafes/restaurants open that early around. The hotel has a lot of a historic charm about it yet still well maintained and……

“Very easy instructions to get in using the key safe box in the porch. A choice of breakfasts that is sent before you arrive you just had to let Heather have by 8.30 the night before by txting on WhatsApp very easy. Lovely clean room with shower, loo and tv. Great WiFi. Breakfast was delicious and I had different options and Heather kindly stocked up the milks tea and coffee as I was there for 5 days. Quiet area within walking distance of the train station 10 mins max and a lovely marina across……

“I stayed in the Rosslea as I was attending a business meeting the next day. Firstly I was on the 3rd floor and there is no lift so if you have mobility issues could be an issue. The room itself was adequate but would benefit from a revamp. The tv was ancient but perfectly useable. The bed was 2 pushed together so was a little strange when sleeping. The breakfast was really good and was included with the stay. Overall I had a pleasant stay.”

“If you’re expecting the Ritz, this isn’t for you. Clean, warm, ensuite, comfy bed and safe with 3 locked doors to get to your room. Staff were lovely and really helpful.”

“Ideally situated with restaurants and shops nearby. Helensburgh is delightful. Well managed with comfortable beds and really great young lady in the breakfast room who was exceptionally helpful. Really enjoyed our stay with friends. ”
