“AWESOME place for a Mid-May visit. Cozy, clean, quaint, close to everything! I love a true old fashioned lodge vibe and Ponderosa Lodge had it. While our room overlooked the road, the sound of the river provided peaceful white noise to cover any traffic noise. Bonus: we saw elk right outside our balcony by the river as soon as we got to our room. I hope to be back to the area after people season wraps up and I will definitely choose Ponderosa Lodge again. ”

“Once we switched away from a room which was not set up well and was hard to move around, we were very comfortable in a room with kitchenette. The road noise bothered us in the day but was quiet at night. The shower stall was miniscule, but the beds were great. The heater/air-conditioner was quiet and worked well. “The "Deer" suite was a great option for a couple. We stayed for two nights and totally enjoyed the property as an affordable option near town with a very nice view. The property manager was very welcoming, and he does a great job keeping the units, which are older, in good repair. The queen bed was quite comfortable; the love seat was fine; the kitchen appliances worked well, and the kitchen was equipped with more than enough cookware and dinnerware for two. “This our second time staying at The Flats and this time don’t disappoint. It’s very close to CSU campus and in a safe area. You have to park on the street (or at Target up the street), but we have never had a problem finding a spot. Easy check-in and great communications with the hosts.
