“Extremely spacious and well equipped with one exception, given the unusually warm weather—no AC, some fans, and no screens on windows that do open. The garden has a knockout location right on the river and some rooms also have this gorgeous view, including the huge bathroom with freestanding tub. There are however a lot of stairs. “From when we arrived to when we left Nic and Wendy were very attentive. The B&B is lovely and clean, the rooms are decorated beautifully with plenty of facilities. A fantastic breakfast awaits you in the morning. Lots of choice and a tasty full English. Definitely come back and recommend. ”

“Tidy hotel the other side of Llangollen which resulted in a hairaising approach in our low slung car along very wiggly roads (we found an easier B road via Chirk later! ) This hotel is situated in a quiet village and we slept well both nights. “We had a wonderful stay at the shepards hut. The heating and lights had been put on reasy for our arrival as we were later than the check in time . Carol the owner had messaged me earlier in the day with directions which was a nice welcome. She had also given us a lovely recommendation for somewhere to eat that evening. “Our stay was fabulous. The food is 12/10 We had our dog with us so we had to eat in the bar but it has a roaring fire and a lovely atmosphere and I’d argue this was the best seat in the house. Our room was in a little outbuilding and it was just perfect. Super quiet of a night too. The servers are all very young and the best and most smiley service I’ve had in a long time ”
