“We watched sunsets and paddled kayaks when at the house. Daily we hiked trails at Garden of the Gods, Ferne Cliffe, and Giant City. House was roomy. We were fine with 1 bath because only 3 of us.Host was great.”

“The house was large enough for me and my 2 brothers and some of our kids to stay. The 3 bedrooms on the main level was nice to each have a room for the adult couples. The spiral staircase to the lower level was a little small so you should definitely unload all kitchen items (which is on the lower level around the stairs to the back, the lights and dining table out back were nice. We ate most of our meals outside since it was so nice. the lake was not really inviting and pretty mucked but the……

“We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage! The hosts left "no stone uncovered" when it came to amenities. They had snacks, coffee, water, beer, & wine for us! I have stayed at several VRBO locations & I would say this was the best as far as thinking of those items. Place was clean, beds were comfortable, & they even had an arcade which I enjoyed playing during a rainy day.”

“We drove up from Nashville for our daughters Law School graduation at SIU and we did not want the family staying in hotel rooms. This was a perfect location! Not too far from the college. The amenities were probably the best we have had! Trey was an excellent host! He called before our trip to see if we had any questions and checked in on us after we got there.
