“This property was perfect for a girls getaway trip. Both the kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with little extras that made it that much nicer. The furniture was comfortable and the electric fireplace made the living area cozy. The house was very clean and the mattress/bedding was comfy. No complaints at all. I would definitely stay here again if were in the area.”

“We stayed 4 nights, clean and quiet! Host was amazing at replying…..really we didn’t try to bother her much. We were confused about parking but it’s just in front of this rental instead of on the side. We went exploring mostly, but coming back to a comfy house was great instead of a hotel. Thank you! Definitely recommend! ”

“The Red House is in a quiet area and was well stocked with any and everything you might need. The host even provided fresh eggs and muffins for breakfast!!! If we are ever back in the area we will stay here again.”

“Stayed at this property during a weekend hunting trip to Ballard WMA. Perfect for what we needed. Older farm house, not perfect but had good heat, hot water and room for 4 adults. Owner was very nice and communicated very well. Checked to make sure we had everything needed. Very accommodating!”

“I have never left a review before. But this host 100% deserves one. The house was just as promised. Beds, layout, etc were all good. What stands out at this property above others I have stayed in the past was the host understood hospitality. All the little details were considered, and communication was great from start to finish. My group ran into a little issue or two, and the host made sure everything was taken care of but then went above and beyond. The house was good, but the experience was……

“Great spot on the lake. My partner and I visited Brookport last year and decided to bring family this year so we decided to rent this bigger cabin. No issues at all with the stay and had everything we needed.”

“We enjoyed the peacefulness on the river. Our view off the back porch was beautiful. They had everything thing you needed dishes, microwave, TV, and refrigerator. We stayed in a suite. It was very spacious and comfy. We will go again.”

“Very nicely renovated farmhouse with a covered deck overlooking acres of forest-lined pasture. You can sit out and watch the wildlife come out at dawn and dusk. Nice private drive. Plenty of bunks for everyone. We just finished our annual visit. Sorry to leave, but we’ve already booked again for next year!”
