“I absolutely loved my stay here. I stayed in the house and it was a great bed and breakfast experience! The staff were super nice and informative about the area also. Everything was very clean and very quite. The breakfast was very good and there were several things to choose from. This home is walkable to town and i did it several times each day. “Look no further! This is the first inn I have ever stayed at! The host is extremely kind and is willing to give you all the good tips and tricks to the area. My boyfriend and I stayed one night there and did a good amount of exploring in the time we had! We ate at Ben&Me's (fabulous hot dogs and blueberry ice cream) which was recommended by our hostess! In the morning, I woke and watched the sunrise from the window facing the harbor of our room and it was just beautiful. We ate breakfast there……

“Excellent experience. We arrived early but April had our room ready. She was a wealth of knowledge with restaurant suggestions, shuttle service info., things to do and just an overall helpful check in. Our room was very clean, spacious, king bed, coffee, great lighting, overall excellent. Our room was cleaned every day and our cleaning person was very nice. ”

“We did our research and knew what to expect when it came to showers, electricity, etc. Staff was excellent - very accommodating. We would stay at Under Canvas again. Only slight negative, we underestimated the number of families with small children. ”

“A friendly, family run inn. Very typical of old Maine style with cute wallpaper, wood floors, and old Maine charm. If you are looking for modern luxury this isn’t for you. However, if you want a lovely inn with a ton of charm and a great price on the island, then you won’t find better than the Harbourside. The bedroom was big with a very comfortable bed and lovely bed linens. It’s an easy walk to Northeast Harbor with excellent shopping and restaurants.”
