“Our family enjoyed many years living in this historic neighborhood. I couldn’t believe this cottage was available in VRBO. First, this secluded neighborhood is beautiful 365 days a year. Wildlife, deer and massive trees add to the charm of this property. Matthew has restored this lovely cottage to an efficient and comfortable space. Whether sitting on the porches or walking the neighborhood, The Hummingbird’s interior is well thought out and plenty of space for everyone. Excellent……

“Fantastic stay here! We were attending a music festival in Louisville, but wanted to hit the distilleries as well. Bardstown was a great location for us and this place was PERFECT!! Very clean and well furnished. Plenty of space to unwind and hang out together. Lots of beds. This notably feels more like a home than a VRBO. It has been well maintained. Furniture is stain free, no paint scratches on the walls. Very impressed and we would certainly stay here again!”

“I travel to Louisville often for work and to visit family and friends, and this trip coincided with a big trade show — every hotel in town was booked. I was lucky to find this beautiful cottage, and it completely exceeded my expectations. It’s truly the nicest VRBO I’ve ever stayed in! From the convenient location to the spotless cleanliness, every detail was perfect. Diane thought of everything — the amenities made it feel just like home. I’ll absolutely be booking this amazing cottage again……

“House was clean, no major issues. Bed frames were squeaky anytime you moved or rolled over. Doors were also squeaky and needed some lubrication. Doorknobs were loose and needed tightened. Water line wasn't hooked up to fridge and ice trays were not provided, so we had to buy ice. Light bulbs were out in several rooms but ceiling was so high we couldn't change them out even if we wanted to. Would have been nice to have curtains on the windows in addition to the blinds as the sun was very bright……
