“This bed and breakfast excelled beyond all expectations! The property is exceptionally beautiful with many historic features scarcely seen except in museums of great old houses. Our host couldn't have been more wonderful and he helped us out after a long ride on the Erie Canal Trail. The amenities were excellent. I would go to Fort Plain just to stay there again. “Staying at this bed and breakfast was like stepping into another time. The mansion is beautifully preserved, and every room has its own unique personality, like an art gallery at every turn. Even the music playing throughout the mansion during breakfast made you feel transported. Jim and Susie were so warm and welcoming. They waited up for us when we arrived late, gave us a thoughtful tour, and somehow still had the energy to make us feel completely at home. Over breakfast the next morning……

“We were in town for Cooperstown dreams park and decided to stay here. I can say this has been one of the most relaxing stays we’ve had. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We had a balcony lake view and spent so much time out there. I would definitely stay here again if we were ever back in the area.”

“We went for a wedding. The room was beautiful. We were informed how to get in and how to get in touch with someone if we had a question because most of the time no one was at the desk. When we did have a question they responded right away. It was a beautiful place and the breakfast was very nice.”

“We had a wonderful stay at the Townhouse Hotel in Richfield Springs with our family and our dog. The location was perfect for visiting the Baseball Hall of Fame and exploring Cooperstown—just a short, scenic drive away. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. “I have no complaints, it was very clean and above my expectations, staff was friendly very friendly and also very helpful. They told me the heat in the room I was given possibly didn’t work and had provided a heater which actually wasn’t needed since heat was indeed working. Overall my only complaint is there a few spots that I don’t think are cleaned often such as windowsills. Bed sheets towels and everything else was very clean.
