“My stay at Lafayette House was fantastic. Collin and Laurie were excellent hosts who provided a lot of helpful communications and were super responsive. The house and parking arrangements were exactly as described. The home was beautiful, well appointed, clean and in an EXCELLENT locations. Even coffee (decaf and regular) and filters were provided. I would highly recommend this property for a wonderful stay in Old Town.”

“Barrister Square was an excellent home base for our family’s trip to DC and Alexandria. Convenient to the metro and trolley, as well as walking distance to cafes and restaurants on King St, we were spoiled by this location. Inside, the beds were comfortable, A/C took the edge off the heat, and the building was quiet. Would choose again! ”

“I had a great stay at this location. The property was accurate as described and the photos were also accurate. The communication with the owner was very smooth and expedient. The location of the house is because it is in walking distance of many restaurants and shopping locations. We had no trouble finding Street parking. The AC unit is a little loud, but it works well. “This home was such a treat! The neighborhood is idyllic, and the home itself was lovely. There are lots of stairs, so if you’re traveling with anyone with mobility issues, it might be challenging. The beds were very comfortable and the common spaces were perfect for family time. ”

“The most convenient location and the included parking was especially nice. We were able to walk to variety of nice dinner spots. The night we made dinner at home we walked to grab ice cream. House worked great - went into DC each day - metro is about a mile away - walking on King street so don't notice how far due to all the shops along the way!”

“Tidewater is a lovely historic home with lots of charm in a great location. The metro, groceries, and many restaurants are a short walk away. The house is located on a busier street but that wasn’t noticeable in the family room or the primary suite. In order to access the primary suite u do need to walk through a secondary bedroom. Not a deal breaker, just takes a little planning. Being built in the late 1800’s the house has some quirks. The floors and stairs have a slight tilt and the……

“I’ve stayed in many hotels in DC through the years and so glad I’ve now discovered Liz Black Swan. Our stay here exceeded any hotel accommodations. Every detail of the 2 bedroom apartment was perfect - clean, comfortable, modern, fully loaded with everything we needed for our stay. And the location on 14th street was so walkable to all the great restaurants.Check in process was easy and the host was a great communicator. Highly recommend”
