We were able to find the place very easily and once in it was very cozy. There is a little door that opens up to the forest and was really peaceful listening to the rain all night. “The views from the outdoor seating area are top notch. Looking out across the sound every night at sunset was the perfect way to end the day. This was the perfect spot for our stay. Birds and deer every morning in the yard and on our way off and on the island as well. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our trip everything was perfect. ”

“Very Comfortable with a well appointed Kitchen. Excellent view of Hood Canal and occasional glimpses of mountains through the fog and clouds. Would recommend visiting the Union Visitor Center for good information about the sites and activities in the area. We enjoyed a few hikes to waterfalls and dinner of Oysters and Dungenese crabs. Preparing meals was easy in the spacious and well appointed kitchen. Perhaps the only drawback was the motorcycles on the road below the cabin and canal. I……

“The property was lovely with beautiful views of the water. It was very private and perfect for a weekend getaway. The only hiccup was the WiFi. It was too weak to make it through a movie using either our computers or their own ROKU system. Loading was slow. They need to up their WiFi strength and put in extenders so that you can use the WiFi in the back bedroom. Otherwise are stay was perfect.”

“We were in town for a soccer tournament in Gig Harbor and the property was perfectly located, just a short drive from the freeway, making it super convenient for getting around. The place was spotless and well-maintained—felt like a home away from home. It was also nice and quiet, making for a peaceful stay. The host was fantastic, very responsive, and made sure everything was in order for my stay. The space had everything you'd expect from an Airbnb, and even more, which was a nice surprise!……

“Everything about the listing was accurate. It is cozy, quiet and peaceful. I could walk up the road towards a dead end with my dogs and also down to Hoodsport from the cabin. There is a bit of noise from the highway up above the property, but really only in front of the house. The babbling creek was what was heard from the house and back area over the creek. There is also an open area just steps from the front door to walk dogs, too. The kitchen was very well stocked! The host was responsive……

“We have stayed at several properties on the hood canal and all agree that this is the one we will return to. The home is vibrantly decorated, accentuating the endless views through the doors and windows, well appointed with everything we needed, and spacious enough to accommodate 6 adults and a small dog. We spent our days outside, watching the seals and fisherman, harvesting and grilling oysters, and kayaking. The proximity to town was a big bonus. Yes, as some have noted, there is road……

“We loved every moment staying in this beautiful beautiful Gig Harbor home. The location was perfect! Every detail was thought through…including kids supplies so we could travel a bit lighter. We hope to be back next summer! ”

“Very cool place. The kayaks are awesome. Very cool to see the tide go out and in. Saw fireworks over the hill in Tacoma that had to be after a Rainier’s game at Cheney Stadium. Pretty cool. Very relaxing place. Use the water jug near the kitchen instead of tap water for cooking would be my only suggestion. Easy check in and out process. ”

“Excellent, friendly host, incredibly clean property with views of the water, bridge and mountains that take your breath away. The property itself is equally as beautiful with mature landscaping and a lovely water feature.”

“It was awesome. Secluded yet not too far from town and my son who lives in Shelton. It was great to take a walk to the shore which was an adventure walk with blackberries and sweetpeas. The high tide and low tides were an adventure especially as it was full moon. The surprise on the last few days was the view of Mt. Rainer. Thank you Robert for a great place to stay will be telling friends about it”
