“This was a great house for us: five adults. It was a well appointed with games, bikes, boats and everything we needed (and more). It is a rustic cabin but had sophisticated interiors that appeared to be new or recently renovated. There was so much outdoor space and we enjoyed building a fire and sitting by the lake. The house was a little noisy, for example an upstairs guest can’t walk around without being heard downstairs. The only frustration we had was using the keypad at the entrance to the……

“We were looking for a close to home place for a quick getaway and this fit the bill. Nestled in a small town, this was the perfect place to catch up, enjoy privacy, and decompress. Super close to the state park with great hiking trails. I am looking forward to going back! ”

“The house is centrally located on Sewanee campus. I am not giving it 5 stars only because the house is pretty old with some quirks like undulating floors, no dishwasher, the TV could only be used for DVDs, and the surrounding properties are poorly maintained (old car in a bush?) Five stars would be for something fancier, but it was a good value, charming, and we enjoyed our stay. The owners were very responsive and easy to deal with.”

“House as described. Has a coffee pot/kuerig combo and nicely provided k-cups. Deck and firepit are nice. Stairs to upstairs beds are steep.Keep in mind there are no closets or kitchen towels. King bed was ok if slept in middle. Had indentions already on sides. Did not fish, but looks like good place for it bringing own gear. Close to Home restaurant in Altamont was good. Hiking was the reason we chose the area. We do want to visit the area again in the future.”

This home is perfect for families or adults. We definitely will be back to this beautiful part of Tennessee.
