“This is a historic hotel. The common areas and the restaurant are great. Our room was very small and tired. The bathroom had been remodeled and was very nice. The rest of the room needed a major overhaul. The wiring was all wiremold; It still had a SMALL analog TV; The furnishings were probably at least 20 years old (not old enough to be antiques), etc.... This hotel has great potential if they would do a MAJOR renovation.”

“My family and stayed 2 nights at Alex's place. For us it was a great location equidistant from family events in the city. The 4 bedrooms were all very cozy and comfortable with easy access to bathrooms. The kitchen likewise was super clean and had everything that we needed. As an added bonus the house was only about 200 yards from a great breakfast restaurant call Eggselent. I would not hesitate to book Alex's house again on any return trip to Chicago. ”
