“Hillside Haven was wonderful for our family's Spring Break! The attention to detail meant that we didn't even touch many of the supplies we brought. All of the kitchen items were in perfect condition. We loved the view and proximity to Shenandoah, Charlottesville, and Staunton. We were a little nervous about it being dog-friendly because we have family members with dog allergies but the house was immaculate and it was a non-issue. We will definitely think about staying here again next time we……

“The property was spacious and well kept. We did have a problem with the kitchen window. It wasn't completely shut and because handles had been removed, we couldn't close it. Manager was alerted. Suggested that we use space heater until he could get maintenance, Things worked out. Also door in Master bedroom 1 was out of alignment and twice we had someone who couldn't get out. Otherwise everything went well. ”

“We stayed at this double log cabin for a 2 night family get together.in late March. 7 adults, no kids. Plenty of space, authentic cabins with a newer section connecting them. I would say the description and pictures are spot on. We loved eating in one night (most appliances are updated and the old refrigerator did well). We LOVED having an outdoor fire both nights. The negatives in my opinion may NOT be negatives for others. We are either city or suburb dwellers. It was cold in the house……

“Very spacious, clean and well appointed. Perfect for a multi-party gathering, there’s room enough for everyone to have their own space, but with a large dining table, living room, downstairs game/TV room, and outdoor deck/firepit to gather. Kitchen is well appointment and functional for complete meals. For light sleepers, though, the front two bedrooms do get noise from the road. ”

“My family and I stayed here for a long weekend to make the most of some local hikes, end of season snow on the slopes and quality time together. The property met all of our needs and wants when we were browsing for availabilities. We had a hiccup accessing the property during initial check in (key code) but the property owners were helpful and got us in quickly. Their responsiveness eased my concerns right from the start, should we have needed them for anything else during our stay.What stood……

Definitely recommend adhering to their recommendation to have a 4WD vehicle, as the drive to the house is a bit steep!”
