“We were attending a family wedding in Scandia, but also visiting with relatives in the Twin Cities. This charming Forest Lake cottage was the perfect escape from all of the activity. It had everything we needed for our stay. Its location near the lake was ideal for relaxing walks and exploring the local area. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable and truly enjoyable. “The location was excellent. The only slightly negative things were the lack of any storage drawers for clothes, uncomfortable bed pillows, and the steep stairs to the basement where the washer/dryer is located. All are typical in this area. On the positive side, there is a great heating/cooling system and new windows. The mattresses were very comfortable. The owner responded quickly to any issues. Our son and his wife came to visit and loved the unit and the neighborhood. ”

“This was such a cute little cabin. Please know that the pirmary bedroom is just a bed in a room without much room for anything else. This was more than fine for me. The view of the lake and sitting out of the dock was wonderful, beautiful, and relaxing. ”

“Our stay at the cottage was perfect! The yard around the cottage is absolutely stunning and the chickens are a delight to watch! There was plenty of space for family of 6 adults. “This is a great location for those looking to fish the Rush River and enjoy a beautiful setting. Check-in process was very simple. The hosts are friendly and accommodating. The only issue was that the listing indicated "sleeps six." However, there was one queen bed and one pull out queen. I spoke with the owner about this and he said it was a mistake in the listing.That's the only reason I didn't give full five stars for 'accuracy of online listing.' “We were in Stillwater for my son's wedding. The moment we stepped into this charming home, we were in love. The place is wonderfully eclectic and very cozy. The bedrooms were decked out with tubs and fireplaces, and the beds were very comfortable. The place was immaculately clean, and when we had a question, the manager responded quickly. I'm sure this place is a blast in the summer when you can use the pool. We would definitely come here again or recommend this house.”

“This house was perfect for us! We were a group of youth male gymnasts coming into town for a meet. Most of us were one gymnasts traveling with one parent. We were all able to sleep in our own spaces... Kitchen was well supplied for all our food needs. And plenty of space for the boys to spread out to play a game, watch a movie, or play electronics too! Grocery was 2 min away. And easy access to the freeway to get from place to place. Wonderful house! Great communication by manager too.”
