“This hotel was in a perfect location. We could access the lagoon which was filled with different fish, turtles and eagle rays. The kayaks and snorkelling equipment were included and free to use as you wished. This was a huge bonus as some places charged for all equipment. The Lagoon restaurant was amazing! “Kristina and her staff were great. Super friendly and helpful. The back villa came with amazing views with loungers and a table and chairs to enjoy the raised deck views. Bikes and kayaks were available for use and allowed us to see three turtles in the lagoon while paddling on three separate days. Loungers were also available for use on the beach. “Definitely skewd towards young families and retired couples. The resort is very much the same as it was when I first stayed there 20 years ago so perhaps could benefit from a refresh. Some staff were outstanding and some only good. Only criticism is the room cleaning staff start very early and as our room was located near the cleaning supply room, we were woken several times very early in the morning (5.30am - 6.00am). “Paul & his team are amazing hosts. The Black Pearl is a lovely place to stay without the hustle and bustle of a big complex. Everything is available from a washing machine, BBQ & reef shoes. The beach is a 30 second walk accross the road and there is a restaurant and garage right next door for any snacks or drinks if needed. Paul can provide great recommendations for restaurants and car hire! Thank you so much for making our first trip to Raro truly on to remember!!”
