“We had a small issue with the self check in as the gate number provided in the email didn't work. I managed to ring the hosts and after a few minutes it was sorted and we were able to gain access. The lodge was very comfortable, nicely decorated and well equipped for a self catering stay. Everything you needed to cook a meal including a microwave oven a fridge and a kettle. I loved the 4 highland cows in the field just outside the lodge, this was partly my reason for booking this accommodation. ”

“Our room was very comfortable but the bathroom was as clean as one would expect for the price. There was duct tape on the toilet plumbing, and quite a loud knocking noise after flushing the toilet.”

“This was a charming country house hotel, with friendly and professional staff. However the room was a huge disappointment. While sold as small bedroom nothing prepared us for how small. No room to sit or put anything. The small furniture had the appearance of having born bought in a jumble sale. A hotel which purports to be a quality country house hotel, with rates to match, should have no rooms like this so inconsistent with a 'Hotel of Distinction'. The bathroom extractor fan sounded like……

“Cannot say enough how wonderful this hotel is, the bed was so comfortable and had lovely cosy linens on it, the room itself was well done up and had a view of a beautiful clock tower, and the breakfast served was amazing! Our only regret is not eating supper at the restaurant, I’m sure it would have been amazing too!”
