“Room is clean restroom is clean. Walkable to Fred Mayer and taco bell. Owners are friendly. Would have been even better if there is a small water bottle or provision to fill water but this is just a suggestion. If you have a choice to choose between a hostel and this room with few dollars price difference I would strongly suggest to go for this room for all the advantages it offers. I was in similar boat hence suggesting :) ”

“We really enjoyed our stay. Our host did an outstanding job making us feel welcome, and the property was exactly as described in the listing. The location was perfect with a huge lawn right on the Chena River! We enjoyed relaxing on the deck, our kids enjoyed paddleboarding on the river, and our dog enjoyed exploring the spacious yard. The home itself has a unique, old time Alaska feel to it, and the beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed reading some of the articles hanging up about the history……

“Great cabin in the woods, super close to Talkeetna. I loved how close it was. Talkeetna was our favorite town. The bunkhouse was great for our boys, the fire pit with wood was also wonderful! I also hiked one of the trails and they provided bear spray, which was awesome!!!! ”

“The location has close neighbors above and to the sides. Occasionally loud, but very nice people who respect any request to quiet down. Convenient location to anything in Fairbanks. Parking was tight for our big vehicle, but a standard SUV or smaller would have no issues.”

“Beautiful, private cabin with a view of mountains, private hiking trail to serene lake. Dave is very sweet and accommodating, we had a beautiful stay.”

“Cabin was very clean and view was beautiful. Bathroom was pretty clean too, bring toilet paper. Only down side was that this is not a cabin by its self - there are two cabins and multiple other structures not pictured. The other cabin was also rented with a couple and a dog and was fairly close to ours. We didn’t have issue though and this still felt very private overall! But I would prepare to not be alone if you stay. ”
