“We had an amazing stay at Melfort House and we would love to go back. The house is warm and welcoming, just like Matthew the host. The loch room has excellent views and the garden surrounding the house is green and lush. “It’s a lovely little place just on the outskirts of Oban, hospitality was amazing. We was greeted when we pulled up. I will give a big shout out to the daughter and the son-in-law as they were looking after the premises for the owners. We walked Ben Nevis on Saturday and they provided a sandwich drink and a few crisps which was extremely helpful much better than a Tesco’s value meal deal. Also, we had a cooked breakfast on the Sunday morning which was lovely and not greasy, which is good. We……

All done with antique furniture and art old and new on the walls. The lovely cosy lounge with a warming fire was a great place to relax with a tot of whisky kindly offered by Marcus. You could wander around the garden or walk down to the river. Breakfast was superb and cooked to order. A perfect place to base our holiday.”
