“What’s listed as a 3-star hotel, I felt it was closer to a 4-star. The rooms were nicely furnished, bathrooms were clean, and the amenities were appreciated by our family. The staff were very friendly and helpful, located in DT Ottawa and only a 3 min walking distance to Byward Market. The Rideau mall was an easy 5 min walk, tourist attractions to the parliament buildings were an easy 10 min walk. “This is our third time in Ottawa, and third time coming to the Fairmount Chateau Laurier Gold Experience. The price might be a bit higher, but it’s totally worthy. The included meals are nothing less than excellent! Which allowed us to save money with meals outside. Combined with Expedia’s points, every cent was well spent. We’d be back one thousand times! The location is like no other! It’s literally next to Parliament Hill to one side, and Byward market to the other. Subway station is across……
